Review: Principles of War: Thoughts on Strategic Evangelism

Principles of War: Thoughts on Strategic Evangelism
Principles of War: Thoughts on Strategic Evangelism by Jim Wilson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Helpful application of military principles to Christian evangelism. Too often, evangelism is motivated by challenges that appeal to pride, or by guilt-manipulation. Wilson re-centers evangelism on obedience.

This is a book of practical wisdom from a seasoned evangelist, and should be supplemented with a book that explains evangelism from Scripture. The value of this book is that it cuts through the sentimental fog that surrounds simplistic exhortations to evangelize, and presents an adult manual of sanctified tactics. Elders and church leaders would do well to analyze their current efforts in light of Wilson’s wisdom.
