Review: The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor’s Journey Into Christian Faith

The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey Into Christian Faith
The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor’s Journey Into Christian Faith by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beautiful, powerful book. Rosaria Butterfield’s story of her train-wreck conversion to Christianity is full of encouragements and challenges. Viz., Hospitality is important. Singing the Psalms, even Psalms only, is not a hindrance to the Spirit’s converting work. Insular Christianity is dangerous to Christianity. Marriage doesn’t overcome sin. Conversion is always wonderful, but can sometimes feel devastating. Advanced education is not wasted when it is applied to homeschooling. Jesus is better than homosexual desires.

This is one for all sorts of Christians to read and benefit from.
